JOB DESCRIPTION: SAP SRM Consultant
SAP SRM Consultant is responsible
for leading research and analysis efforts to identify business
requirements, and translating them into effective systems
design within SAP, specifically for the SRM module. This includes
Researching, Designing, Creating, Documenting, Implementing,
Maintaining and Supporting Systems relating to our SAP environment.
This individual will design business processes in such a way
that they may be effectively modeled and configured within
the SAP environment. This individual also utilizes business
and systems expertise to identify new or improved business
processes, and evaluates them for adoption into the SAP environment.
In addition this individual provides ongoing consultative
services to business partners Finance and IS while working.
In this role, the candidate will have the primary responsibility
for implementing and maintaining SRM based solutions. As a
SRM Consultant, you will heavily interface with Commodity
Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Quote Management Group etc.,
to develop and implement systems and processes that help reduce
material acquisition costs, execute efficient material quoting
process and automate procurement execution systems.

Design and implement technology-enabled SRM based business
solutions for various business units as part of a highly
motivated team.
Define systems strategy, developing systems requirements,
and implementing practical business solutions under
multiple deadlines.
Define integration strategy for interfaces with other
SAP applications and modules, like x CQM, MDM, SNC,
SCV, and legacy systems and applications like Baan,
MDSS, WebMethods, etc.
Define system maintenance and support plan and implement
procedures.
Document business processes, systems architecture and
interfaces.

- Provides business systems analysis
and process redesign expertise within the finance
area.
- Analysis and redesign of SRM
functions and processes.
- Strong knowledge of production
operation, as well as established priorities to solve
business problems.
- Interacts with business partners
to identify project alternatives and make recommendations.
- Participates in the design and
development of technology solutions, which meet security
requirements.
- Provides significant input to
system specifications and design.
- Customize/configure ERP software
to satisfy business requirements and process design.
- Plans, coordinates and participates
in system, integration and acceptance test efforts.
- Conducts post-installation system
review.
- Heads continuous improvement
efforts.
- Develops a strong working knowledge
of ERP products, services, and industry trends to
select appropriate technologies to meet business requirements.
- Produces process maps, data
models, data flows, training materials, user manuals,
and other system documentation as required.
- Leads and ensures clear ownership
of new applications/processes for ongoing support.
- Participates in the Go/No Go
decisions in all project phases.
- Utilizes Grainger tools and
processes to complete analysis in support of application
development. Ensures compliance of other employees.
- Identifies and removes barriers
as related to projects and processes.
- Proactively builds working relationships
with business partners.
- Identifying opportunities to
improve existing business processes or develop new
processes.
- Communicates project status
to Project Manager and/or Group Manager.
- Pursues internal and external
opportunities for acquiring knowledge beyond area
and scope of current responsibility.

| Qualification:: |
| |
BS/MS in Engineering or Management.
Minimum 4 years business consulting or corporate experience
in the SAP space, with in depth experience implementing
and configuring SAP SRM and other applications.
Must have strong SAP configuration experience.
Proven skills as integral team member/lead on at least
2+ full lifecycle implementations
Experience in Baan V and good knowledge of Oracle9i,
DBMS, ABAP and 4GL languages will be an added plus.
Experience configuring the SRM or EBP module of SAP
Extensive business and/or systems analysis skills that
support applications development.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work on cross-functional
teams and foster the team's commitment to tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with
an ability to express complex business concepts in technical
terms.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Ability to lead and promote change in an environment
of rapidly changing technologies and business processes.
Experience with utilizing recognized project management
tools and processes in a work environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Familiar with ERP architecture (SAP, Tuxedo, Mercator,
MOVE, Legacy, etc.)
